Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and [Tangenta: full legal name, address, registration number] (“we”, “us”) for using the PartyBuckets app and website. By using PartyBuckets you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16. If you use PartyBuckets for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
Guests and accounts
You can join buckets and add photos as a guest, without an account. Creating a bucket needs an account. Keep your password safe: you're responsible for what happens in your account. When you sign in, everything you did as a guest on that phone moves to your account.
Buckets
- The person who creates a bucket is its owner. The owner can rename it, change its style and delete it with all its photos.
- Anyone with a bucket's invite code or QR code can join it and see and download all its photos. Only share the code with people you'd show the photos to.
- You can leave a bucket at any time. The photos you added stay in it.
Your photos
- Your photos stay yours. You give us permission to store, resize and show them to the people in the bucket, only as needed to run PartyBuckets. You give everyone in the bucket permission to view and download the photos you add, for their personal use.
- Only add photos you have the right to share. Respect the people in them: if someone asks you not to share a photo of them, don't.
- PartyBuckets is not a backup service. Photos are deleted when their bucket closes (see below), so download the ones you want to keep.
What's not allowed
Don't use PartyBuckets to share content that is illegal, sexually exploits or endangers children, shows someone in an intimate situation without their consent, harasses, threatens or discriminates, or infringes someone else's rights. Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, or access buckets or accounts that aren't yours. To report content, email [email protected]. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and report illegal content to the authorities.
Bucket sizes and how long photos are kept
- Every bucket starts as a free Small bucket. Small holds 100 photos for 30 days, Medium 500 photos for 6 months, Large 2,000 photos for 1 year. Large buckets can get 1,000 more photos at a time. These limits may change for new buckets; the app shows each bucket's current size and closing date.
- The period starts when the bucket is created and restarts when the bucket is made bigger. When it ends, the bucket closes: its photos are deleted and it can't take new ones.
- When a bucket is full, new photos are still accepted but hidden from everyone until someone makes the bucket bigger. Up to 1,000 photos can wait like this. If nobody upgrades, they are deleted when the bucket closes.
Payments
- Bigger buckets are one-time purchases for one bucket, not a subscription. Anyone in a bucket can buy one, and it applies to the whole bucket.
- Payments in the app are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and on our website by Stripe. Their terms apply to the payment. Prices are shown before you pay.
- A bigger bucket is digital content delivered right after you pay. By buying it you ask us to deliver it immediately and acknowledge that you then lose the 14-day EU right of withdrawal. [Lawyer: confirm wording, and that the purchase screen must ask for this consent.]
- Refunds for app purchases go through Google Play or the App Store, under their rules. For anything else, email us. This doesn't limit your rights under consumer law. [Decide: refund if the owner deletes a bucket someone else paid for?]
The service
We work to keep PartyBuckets running and your photos safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features. If we ever shut PartyBuckets down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice to download your photos.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for content other people add to a bucket. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury, or your rights as a consumer. [Lawyer: review this section.]
Ending
You can stop using PartyBuckets and delete your account at any time (how). We may close accounts that break these terms.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change applies. If you keep using PartyBuckets after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Slovenia. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. The EU's online dispute resolution platform is at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. [Lawyer: check whether the ODR link is still required.]
